I am reading MARKED by P.C CAST and KRISTIN CAST. The main character is Zoey Redbird, she is 16- year old vampire who got a black marked in her forehead. Zoey is hanging out with the Dark Daughter when her roommate and her other friends are telling her not to go to the party. If i would Zoey i wouldn't go becasue I want to hang out with my friends and because the Dark Daugher are so mean and disrepectful. Aphrodite is a girl who went out with Erik who Zoey fell in love with, she acting nice to Zoey but her friends don't want her to become one og her and the Dark Daugher. If i was on Zoey's shoe I would just back away from Aphrodite.
My reaction to the book is mad a Aphrodite becasue she like the devil so mean that i just wont even want to see her. For me to handle this situation just have to talk to a teacher or just ignore her. What would I do differently is try to change her.
on pg 157 it says " she was jealous that Neferet was my mentor."This tells that Aphrodite hates Zoey.

In your book, what are some of the ways that your character(s) express themselves through their emotions? How do they show love? Anger? Hate? Why is important to you as a reader?
In the book MARKED, by P.C CAST and KRISTIN CAST Zoey's emotion in the book is love and nervous because she is falling in love with this other vampire and nervous because it her first time going to the House Of Night and because of the boy who she was looking at in the hallway kissing a girl. It say on the book that sh saw a boy in the hall way and a girl and she look at them and the boy turn and that was when she got nervous.It important to me because the main character in the book Zoey is making me read the book and she is it showing how she is expressing herself and why she nervous and in love with this boy.

One connection from the book is that Zoey is a girl who got picked on and wonder "why do i get picked why me?"and i always ask the same why me i get everything that i don't want and i do way more things at home then my sister and brother. Even people ask why me and that sucks. it not normal.

8-27-10 Reading Response
My book is called Marked. The summary is about a world very much like our own, except here vampyres have always existed. Zoey got marked in here forehead. She is living in a new life and she thinks it sucks to being a new life, so she has to go to a house of night to live there. Her grandma helps her go to the house of night and and Zoey needs her help she calle's her grandma for anything she needs. Zoey doesn't like her steploser(stepdad) becasue she thinks he even been fakes to a good father, he fakes to be nice, and he is acting everything fake. One connection I had with this book is when Zoey's mom won't leave her alone and my mom SOMETIMES doesn't leave me alone, parents always do that, won't leave the kids alone for a while. The universal theme is the human nature because Zoey did not wanted to get pick but she seek revenge when she feel she’ve been picked on. The main chareter is Zoey,and her grandma.
